Il sipario della realtà. La segreta bellezza di un inganno
La ricerca in fisica è un percorso su una “strada che porta alla realtà”, parafrasando il titolo di un noto saggio di R. Penrose. Una corrente di pensiero interpreta la matematica non solo come strumento descrittivo della realtà ma come struttura ultima della realtà. In questa breve nota, l’autore avvalora tale ipotesi speculativa mostrando il risultato cui è pervenuto partendo da un’indagine per “stanare” matematica e bellezza all’interno di una costante simbolica della fisica che da sola potrebbe spiegare e giustificare l’esistenza dell’universo
The curtain of reality. The secret beauty of deception
The physics research is a path on a "road to reality", to paraphrase the title of a famous essay by R. Penrose. One school of thought interprets mathematics not only as a descriptive tool of reality but as the ultimate structure of reality. In this short note, the author supports this hypothesis speculative showing the performance to be reached by starting an investigation to "flush out" mathematics and beauty in a symbolic constant of physics that alone could explain and justify the existence of the universe
