Nuove frontiere della sperimentazione in Europa: il laboratorio CERISI dell’Università di Messina
Il Centro di Eccellenza in Ricerca e Innovazione per Strutture ed Infrastrutture di grandi dimensioni (CERISI) dell’Università di Messina ha recentemente potenziato i laboratori di strutture, geotecnica e meccanica con attrezzature di prova ad alto contenuto tecnologico rivolte alla sperimentazione su materiali e componenti strutturali. Con particolare riferimento all’ingegneria sismica è stato realizzato il nuovo laboratorio EUROLAB, che accoglie alcune attrezzature di prova per la caratterizzazione di dispositivi e componenti strutturali impiegati nelle grandi opere
New frontiers of the experimentation in Europe: the CERISI laboratory of the University of Messina
Funded by the EU with 22.1 million euro, the Centre of Excellence for Research and Innovation on large dimensions Structures and Infrastructures (CERISI) of the University of Messina is devoted to experimental investigation and testing in the framework of structural, geotechnical and mechanical engineering. The interest has been focused on applications concerning Earthquake Engineering with the realization of the EUROLAB laboratory, which includes some high-performance test facilities for the qualification of devices and structural components used in the construction of large structures and infrastructures
